Jeff Bezos’s Prometheus Raises $12 Billion at $41 Billion Valuation to Automate Engineering Work

Prometheus, co-founded by Jeff Bezos and Vik Bajaj, raised $12B at a $41B valuation in June 2026, backed by JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and BlackRock, with most new funds aimed at compute costs. The “artificial general engineer” startup employs 150 people in San Francisco, London, and Zurich to automate design and manufacturing of complex physical systems, and Bezos says AI will create “labor scarcity,” not job displacement.

Oracle PeopleSoft Zero-Day Exploited by ShinyHunters in Breach of 100+ Organizations

Oracle warned in a June 2026 advisory that ShinyHunters is exploiting a PeopleSoft zero-day over the internet without authentication, with more than 100 organizations potentially compromised—after the gang claimed responsibility a day earlier. Mandiant says it notified 100+ mostly US orgs, about two-thirds in higher education, and reports theft of student records including DOBs and GPAs.

Meta Adds AI Assistant and Desktop Version to Its Edits Video App

At an invite-only creator event in Los Angeles on Wed., June 11, 2026, Meta previewed an Edits AI assistant (testing) that analyzes Instagram views and video-retention to suggest trending-audio content, plus a desktop version “coming soon” with mobile↔desktop syncing. The update also adds a Beta tab, deeper audience insights, and multi-version testing; Meta says Edits content delivers 10% higher save and 2% higher reshare rates.
