Pool App Organizes iPhone Screenshots Into Searchable Collections Using AI

A new iOS app called Pool launched in June 2026 to help users organize the screenshots cluttering their Camera Rolls, automatically sorting them into personalized collections and tracking down the original links behind saved content.

The product was originally developed about three years ago through their product and design studio, Spinoff Studio, but was shelved when the founders shifted to B2B SaaS to generate revenue. That pivot led to CRM software called Waitless, which was acquired last year.

The founders credited advances in AI with making Pool viable to revisit. “It seems like a perfect time to go after this idea,” Junique told TechCrunch, describing screenshots as “a super untapped, unexplored dataset” compared to more commonly targeted data like emails or chat logs.

The app also treats screenshots with time sensitivity — a saved event ticket barcode, for example, may disappear after the event passes, while a screenshot of an upcoming event flyer could surface links to buy tickets.

Pool previously raised a pre-seed round of just over $2 million from investors including General Catalyst, Kima Ventures, and Source Ventures. The founders were in San Francisco in late May 2026 to meet with additional investors. Pool is available as a free download on iOS.
