Anthropic Announces Claude Science Platform and Plans to Develop Its Own Drugs

At “The Briefing: AI for Science” in July 2026, Anthropic rolled out Claude Science, an “AI workbench” that unifies fragmented tools and datasets and generates figures/visuals. Eric Kauderer-Abrams said Anthropic also plans to develop drugs for “neglected” diseases, but the company hasn’t shared target priorities, partnerships, or what it will do after candidate hits.
