AI video and image platform Higgsfield announced in August 2026 that it has raised $400 million in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at $5.4 billion — more than four times its $1.3 billion valuation from just eight months prior.
DST Global led the round, with participation from Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Valor Capital, and Tribe Capital. The company said the capital will go toward hiring, product development, and securing compute capacity — a significant operational cost given that generating one minute of video requires processing the equivalent of 60,000 words of data.
Higgsfield was founded in 2023 by Alex Mashrabov, a former Snap executive. The platform allows users to create AI-generated images and videos, and has drawn attention over the past year for premiering AI-generated films at both the Cannes Film Festival and in New York. Its current product lineup includes Cinema Studio, aimed at filmmakers directing AI films, and Marketing Studio, designed for marketing and advertising teams.
The company reported $700 million in annualized revenue and 30 million users across 200 countries. Enterprise customers have become a growing segment, with Higgsfield now working with 390 companies from the Fortune 500. Mashrabov said he expects “enterprise adoption of video AI to become much more deeply embedded in everyday marketing and creative workflows.”
The raise positions Higgsfield to compete more aggressively for compute resources against others in the AI video space, including Synthesia and Runway, which the source identifies as industry competitors.
