Meta Launches Dedicated Mac App for Its AI Chatbot With Screen Sharing and Dictation

Meta announced a dedicated Mac app for Meta AI in August 2026 that can see a shared screen window to offer suggestions, answer questions, or generate content, plus dictation across other Mac apps. It also connects to Instagram/Facebook, Meta ad campaigns, and Google Workspace to analyze reach, likes, shares, and saves and produce decks, documents, spreadsheets, and weekly performance updates.

ClarityCheck Left 9 Million Face Images Publicly Exposed in Unsecured Database

ClarityCheck told users its reverse image search is “private and secure,” but WIRED reports it left a ~450GB Amazon S3 bucket public with 9+ million adult, teen, and child photos. Security researcher Jeremiah Fowler found the “faces” and “profiles” folders reachable via a URL embedded in the company’s site code, and another misconfiguration exposed email addresses and phone numbers; ClarityCheck secured the bucket after WIRED contacted it in July 2026.
