Athens-based customer support automation company Omilia has raised a $67 million Series B led by Expedition Growth Capital, the company announced in August 2026. The round marks Omilia’s first outside funding since a $20 million raise from Grafton Capital in 2020.
In the six years since that initial raise, Omilia has grown its annual recurring revenue by 10x to $60 million. The company, which has been building voice call and customer support automation since 2002, currently employs around 500 people and expects to reach 600 by the end of the year.
CEO Dimitris Vassos says Omilia’s approach differs from newer AI-focused competitors by using a mix of tools rather than applying large language models across all tasks. “We will use any available weapon to win the battle for customer service,” Vassos said. “You may have a bazooka, but if your enemy is near you, you need a knife. This is the reality of the contact center, where you need multiple tools.”
The company’s clients include Capital One, Discover, RBC, DWP, and PSEG. Quick-service restaurants have become a growing focus, with Taco Bell as a current client — Omilia’s technology has been deployed across more than 1,000 Taco Bell outlets. Vassos said the company is in talks with two additional quick-service restaurant chains in the U.S.
Omilia plans to use the new funding to open a U.S. office, expand its go-to-market team, and hire a chief revenue officer, chief marketing officer, and VP of revenue operations. The U.S. accounts for a significant portion of the company’s revenue.
Vassos framed the company’s trajectory in straightforward terms: “We care about growing steadily and building the foundations for a billion-dollar revenue company in the next three years.”
