Lingverse announced in 2026 that it is developing the iKairos, a wearable and desk-mounted device that continuously monitors its surroundings and converts captured moments into AI-generated images stored as a personal journal. The company revealed funding for the product on Wednesday, July 23, 2026, and says presales are planned to launch later this year.
The iKairos is designed to function in two modes: worn on the body to capture a first-person perspective, or placed on a mount to observe the user and their environment from a fixed position. According to Lingverse, the device takes camera snapshots rather than recording continuous video, only activates audio recording when a human voice is detected, and processes data on-device or encrypts it in transit. The company states the data will not be used to train AI models, and the device includes a physical camera shutter.
At the end of each day, the iKairos generates a visual “reflection” from the moments it has captured. A Lingverse representative told WIRED that images pass a quality check cross-referencing visual scenes with audio context before entering the user’s journal. The company also says users can select which images they prefer.
Lingverse markets the iKairos with a connection to Jibo, the social home robot that gained a following before being discontinued. The company says it developed iKairos with “blessings” from the original Jibo founders, though specifics of that relationship were not detailed.
Lingverse also makes the Luka AI Reading bot and demonstrated a camera-enabled kids’ device called the Luka AI cube at CES 2026. The iKairos enters a crowded market that already includes AI wearables such as the Bee AI and Looki L1, as well as AI-generated photo features in Google Photos and upcoming home assistant products from Apple, Amazon, Google, and OpenAI.
