A startup called June emerged from stealth in August 2026 with $20 million in pre-seed funding to help large businesses deploy AI tools within their existing enterprise systems — without relying on armies of outside specialists to do it.
The round was led by Marc Benioff’s Time Ventures, with additional backing from Michael Dell, Aaron Levie, and George Kurtz. The company declined to share its valuation. CEO Efrat Rapoport says the raise happened without a pitch deck.
Rapoport and her three co-founders — Ohad Hen, Barak Goldstein, and Idan Tsitiat — previously founded Bonobo AI, a pre-transformer language model company that launched a voice-to-text service in 2017 and was acquired by Salesforce two years later. The team spent several years at Salesforce working on AI before leaving to start June after watching enterprise customers struggle to integrate AI into their existing platforms.
The core problem June targets is the gap between building an AI agent and actually getting it to function inside a corporate environment. Large companies typically run fragmented data across platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, Databricks, and Workday, with duplicate database fields, complex workflows, and years of accumulated technical debt. June’s platform scans a company’s existing systems, identifies bottlenecks, and generates a step-by-step implementation roadmap — then builds out the agent-powered processes automatically.
“Before AI can create value, someone has to deal with legacy systems,” Rapoport said.
One early customer, Paul Akinmade, chief strategy officer at U.S. mortgage lender CMG, said his team spent weeks unable to integrate Claude Code with Salesforce despite consulting architects and forward-deployed engineers. June gave his team a clear deployment path and let them move forward before the formal onboarding process had even begun.
The company positions June as a complement to outside consultants, though Akinmade said his condition for piloting the tool was that it not require them: “I don’t want a black box. I don’t want something only certain people can figure out.”
