Rogue Studio, a new AI-powered platform for generating adult visual content, launched in August 2026 with the stated goal of bringing professional-grade production quality to R-rated and explicit material. The company describes itself as a “playground for creative ethical mischief” and positions its flagship product, Rogue 1.0, as an AI video-generation tool comparable to models currently used in Hollywood productions.
The platform is cofounded by two Hollywood film producers who have chosen to remain anonymous, citing professional risk associated with working in both AI and adult content. The pair, one of whom goes by Mr. Rogue, told WIRED they have collectively produced films with a combined box office exceeding $2 billion. “There really isn’t a place for a sophisticated creator to go make content that’s rated R,” Mr. Rogue said. “We want to do what HBO did for television.”
Rogue Studio offers subscription tiers ranging from $29 to $299 per month. The platform includes several mainstream AI generation models — among them NanoBanana, Seedance, and Kling 2.0 — alongside its own proprietary tools for adult-oriented images and video. Users can combine outputs from multiple models within a single project.
To enforce its content policies, the company uses three layers of human moderation: a prompt-level keyword filter, an intent-review layer designed to catch attempts to circumvent rules through misspellings or indirect phrasing, and a final review of generated output before delivery. The platform’s terms of service prohibit nonconsensual deepfakes, child sexual abuse material, unauthorized depictions of public figures, and use of user-generated content for AI training.
The launch comes amid ongoing tension in Hollywood over AI’s role in film and television production, a conflict that intensified during the 2023 labor strikes. The cofounders acknowledged the stigma surrounding AI in the industry but said they intend to continue developing the platform’s creative capabilities.
