Anthropic announced a new “reflect” feature for its Claude chatbot in July 2026, giving users a dashboard to review and analyze their own AI usage patterns over the past month, three months, six months, or year.
The reflection dashboard summarizes key topics a user has raised with Claude, the types of tasks they delegate, and usage patterns including peak activity times. Users can also set “quiet hours” or configure break reminders after certain periods of use. Anthropic said a metric tracking total time spent using Claude is coming soon.
Anthropic framed the feature as a tool to help users evaluate whether their AI use aligns with their personal goals. The dashboard surfaces periodic questions such as, “What’s one thing you want to keep doing yourself, even if Claude could do it faster?” After a user responds, the dashboard then offers the option to discuss the answer with Claude directly.
The company said the feature will not pull from files within connected third-party tools — such as actual emails from a linked email account — though the fact that a user asked Claude to summarize their inbox may still appear. Chats conducted in incognito mode and conversations connected to health integration tools are excluded entirely. Sensitive topics may appear in the reflection, but only at a high level, according to Anthropic.
The reflect feature is currently available in beta for free Claude users as well as Pro and Max subscribers, provided they have memory enabled for their chats. It can be accessed through Settings on the Claude web interface or desktop app. Anthropic said the idea came from interviews with Claude users, and that the feature will also come to Claude for Work soon.
The feature follows a broader trend of usage recap tools popularized by Spotify Wrapped and since adopted by platforms including YouTube and Uber.
